Learn traditional stonework at Building Dry-Stack Walls (Section B), a hands-on workshop at Mt. Cuba Center that focuses on constructing dry-stack stone walls without mortar. This session builds on the foundational skills covered in Section A and deepens techniques for selecting and fitting stones for stability and design. Throughout the class, participants work collaboratively with experienced instructors to craft a functional section of wall while learning about stone “batter,” leveling, and safe lifting practices.
This workshop provides an in-person learning experience with opportunities to practice real-world stone-stacking techniques and will take place outdoors on the Mt. Cuba Center grounds, weather permitting.
