Gallery Talk: Transcendent: Landscapes of the Hudson River School with Carolyn Hauk of University of Delaware

Join Carolyn Hauk, doctoral candidate in Art History at University of Delaware, for a gally talk that examines the relationship between tourism and 19th-century landscape painting. Through celebrated views of Niagara, the Adirondacks, South America, and the American West, she will explore how ideas of the sublime and national identity were shaped alongside histories of dispossession, exclusion, and environmental change.
