Longwood Gardens’ Winter Wonderland returns to the Brandywine Valley with one of the region’s most anticipated cold-season experiences. When temperatures drop, the Conservatory and indoor glasshouses come alive with vibrant tropical plants, colorful blooms, and immersive floral installations that draw visitors from Delaware, Chester County, and beyond.

Beginning February 13, the Conservatory transforms into a living gallery filled with elaborate floral artistry—lush displays designed to brighten winter days and lift the spirit. Each installation blends color, form, and texture in ways that make this one of the most popular winter attractions near Wilmington and the broader Delaware Valley.

As evening falls, the experience deepens. Garden Glow, offered Friday through Sunday evenings from February 13 through March 8, illuminates the Conservatory and Main Fountain Garden District with glowing horticultural creations. Bonsai, tropical foliage, and specialty plantings shimmer with ethereal light, while outdoor pathways guide guests through luminaria-lit trails.

Visitors will also encounter SPARK, the internationally acclaimed installation by Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde. Thousands of floating, biodegradable light points drift through the night air, creating a magical firefly-like atmosphere that makes this event a standout for winter photography and family outings.
