Director’s Garden & Estate Walk: Conifers
Join Chris Strand, director of Winterthur, on a special walk highlighting interesting and seldom seen parts of the landscape. Included with admission. Members free. DelArt Film Society presents The Holdovers
Join us December 12 at 1:30 p.m. as the DelArt Film Society presents a film screening of The Holdovers in the auditorium at the Delaware Art Museum.
In 1970, a curmudgeonly history teacher at a New England boarding school remains on campus during Christmas break to supervise held over students, and ends up forming an unlikely bond with a brainy but damaged troublemaker.

Crepe Paper Hellebores

America’s First Woman Botanist
Jane Colden (1724–1760) was America’s first woman botanist, yet her contributions to the field of remain little-known and her writings are mostly unpublished. Enjoy this lecture restoring Colden’s life and work, in her own writings, her father’s correspondence, and botanic sources of the 18th century with Fenella Greig Heckscher, author of Jane Colden’s Botanic Manuscript: The Legacy of America’s First Woman Botanist.
